I'm also a person that is considered to be an ectomorph. Gaining weight has been very hard for me to accomplish. I've done gym routines in the past with no noticeable gain. I've been working out for about three months now, and in those three months, I put on just over 10 pounds. The 10 pounds actually came in 2 months, I need to go back and evaluate my caloric intake and see if I need to bump it up again. I use the N-Large 2 as a whey protein after working out, and the BSN INC. Syntha-6, Chocolate Peanut Butter, 5.04-Pound Tub in the morning and evening.
When I first started working out, I got the Chocolate N-Large 2, and it is relatively tasty. It lasts me almost two months since I am using 8 ounces after working out as that put me initially where I wanted to be for my supplemented intake. They were out of Chocolate when I last ordered so I decided to go with strawberry. BAD DECISION. The strawberry is almost like another company is making the product. It tastes TERRIBLE, and doesn't mix well at all using the Green 28 Oz. Blender Bottle. |

I hardly have bad reviews about anything I buy, but this stuff is garbage. It clumps like crazy! Sticks to cups, spoon, and sink. The nutrition stats are good on paper, except for the high cholestrol. I don't see how this product can have 9 good reviews, it must be skinny 18 year olds buying this stuff. They may not mind the clumpy and stickiness since mom would be washing the dishes for them.
You absolutely need to put this in a blender, and even then you spend lots of time cleaning the blender.
The taste is of the chocolate is good and not too sweet.
I rather take multiple shakes of Optimum Nutrition Whey Protein Gold. Optimum Whey is awesome stuff. Very clean high protein. Not a weight gainer product, but blends amazingly with water.
I can't get over how sticky this stuff it....it's like a cat on a curtain.

I'm a tall, skinny guy who likes to stay fit. I don't have, nor want, layers and layers of muscle bulking out of my clothes. I realize that this powder assists in building muscle, but I bought it for an entirely different reason. Pretty much all my life, I've had a fantastic metabolism. So good in fact, I rarely build any fat on my body. Also, I've been sleepy with low energy as long as I can remember. My wife said that it's likely I need a good amount of proteins and carbs throughout the day because I burn them off so quick. Believe me, I've tried everything from giving up sugar (completely), to vegetarianism. But I've never been able to shake that tired feeling. I decided to take my wife's advice. Instead of having a breakfast, lunch and dinner like the rest of the world (because large meals make me sleepy), eat smaller, healthy snacks throughout the day. I really didn't like this idea, because I enjoyed large meals. But I decided to try it anyway.
I wanted to find something that was all-natural, no artificial sugars or flavors, full of proteins and carbs, and tasted good. And, easy and fast to prepare.
In comes N-Large:
It's sweetened with fructose - a simple fruit sugar.
It contains a large of amount of proteins AND carbs
(many protein only drinks don't come with the carbs I need).
It comes in vanilla, my favorite flavor.
It's easy to mix, and takes no time to prepare.
It is working better than anything I've ever tried!
I drink this stuff down about two or three times a day (I use a 1/4 of the recommended amount). Since I need to have my proteins and carbs every 3 to 4 hours, I also eat foods high in both of those (nuts, fish, bread, grains, greens, etc) when I am not drinking a shake. I exercise too, but not like a body builder. I just enjoy staying in shape.
My goal was to raise my energy level. This stuff pulls through! I just wish I could afford a case of it. I'd make it part of my yearly health plan. I don't know if it works to build muscle, that's not what I'm using it for. But I know it works to keep me energized throughout the day. Because of that, I gave it the highest rating. |

| I don't know that much about weight gainers or suppliments. What I do know I learned from reading these reviews. It seems to be an excellent product for gaining lean weight fast. |
